The Hunter Wine Bar Mosman

With an inviting, intimate ambience the Hunter is the perfect spot to take shelter and looking out to the dreary wet evening we admire the African inspired setting.
Vines hang loosely from the canvas-clad ceilings and the use of stone and timber throughout adds to the rustic safari atmosphere.
We’ve invited a few of the girls to join us and the tapas style menu is perfect for a low key girls night out.

With a speciality in share platters, the safari theme is evident in the naming of some of the options. We choose the gatherer board, hot chips, and the Morrocan-spiced chicken skewers.

The gatherer board is a welcome feast. Its a compilation of tasty bites and dips namely beetroot houmous, olive tapenade and a spicy capsicum dip. Served on a wooden board with crunchy sourdough there’s also mini bowls of marinated olives and some insanely salty halloumi bites not to mention a scattering of warm falafels.

The chicken has an earthy chargrill flavour and is accompanied by a cool tzatziki sauce. The sauce compliments the deep spices of the chicken marinade but its even better to dip the hot chips into!
Although the cocktails at The Hunter look incredible we happily stick to Rose. Hours slip by and as we chat the night away we forget all about the rain, completely immersed in the warm cocoon of The Hunter.

ANGELA

Mosman is little black dress territory.
Well in the sense that it’s chic and stylish versus hipster and trendy. The Hunter however is one of the cooler venues so that’s why I wore my biker jacket to toughen up the look. Without the jacket and with the Valentino’s my outfit would of been a little too conservative- and that’s not the vibe at the Hunter.

MARGARITA

Obsessed would be an under statement to describe how I feel about this dress. Guess by Marciano has an uber feminine feel with a strong silhouette which I always gravitate to. The prominent hems create interest in the over all look of the dress mean while the boots are Gucci-esque on a budget. What a fun bootie! I love the little red snake and flowers. The hair had to be my signature sleek pony which I am currently wearing on the daily, do you guys find you get into one hair style at a time and wear it to death?

Meanwhile The Hunter wine bar itself is a seriously cozy romantic little spot ideal for girly gossip or a sexy cocktail.
